FINLAY GILMOUR

Designing and creating has been a life-long passion for Fin.  He has made a wide range of one-off wooden creations from tables to coffins to ladders to kitchens.  Anything made from wood he is willing to take on.  If it involves metal-work too, even better. 

His building and carpentry journey began when he became a buddhist monk aged 22 (Theravada tradition), for 17 years in England and Thailand.

Fin particularly enjoys the collaboration and design process with clients, to achieve a beautiful and functional outcome.  He lives at Lake Hawea, in Central Otago, New Zealand/Aotearoa with his wife and daughter.
